Teaching Violin

Ellie Jos teaches private lessons in several locations around the area-James Island, at Hungry Monk Music in West Ashley and at the IMPACT studio in Summerville. Through her graduate studies, she has received Suzuki training for Suzuki Books 1-10 by Mark Bjork, whom had direct training from Shinichi Suzuki. In addition, Ellie teaches American folk music and improvisation to interested students. She loves when students show a passion for other musical genres and strives to incorporate their music interests into their violin lessons. It is always fun to see her students collaborate and play duets and trios together! After completing her college degrees, Ellie moved back to Charleston and has been teaching privately since 2013.
