Ellie Jos is a classically trained violinist with extensive experience in classical, folk, improvisational, and alternative music styles.

After earning her Master’s degree in Violin Performance from the University of Minnesota, Ellie returned to her hometown of Charleston, SC to build her career as a violin teacher and performing musician. Her music interests range from playing with the South Carolina Philharmonic and North Charleston Pops Orchestra to joining folk, bluegrass, swing, and rock and roll music acts around the Lowcountry area.
